Born February 6, 1915 in Wooster, Ohio, he was the son of Leroy E. and Sarah Wolbaugh Beckler
He had worked as a cut off operator for the Timken Company from 1942-1975. He also worked for 4 1/2 yrs. serving as transportation driver for childrens services. Life member parents without partners, member of American Legion Post #68 and United Steel Workers 2730 where he served as president for 10 Yrs.
Served his country with the U. S. Navy during WWII.
Surviving are his children Gloria (Mark) Shanstrom of Denver and Thomas (Becky) Beckler of Wooster; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Doris Berlincourt of Toledo.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Eloise Haas.
