Charlotte attended Mt. Vernon High School where she was awarded 1st and 2nd place in the state in English for her performance on the state academic tests and graduated in 1935. She also studied piano and dance and sang at special events. She was an avid volunteer, child advocate and organic gardener. She will be greatly missed by the family she was so devoted to.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard Doyle of West View Manor, Wooster, OH, and daughters Sharlee Murphy (Captain Samuel) of Delaware, Oh, and Marilyn Dittoe (Dr. James) of Wooster; grandchildren Heather Murphy (David Franseen) of Duluth Minn, Patrick Doyle Murph (Katie) of Columbus, Andrew Doyle Dittoe (Fiance Jennifer Cochrane) of Ft. Lauderdale, and Jill Dittoe and Amy Dittoe, both of Hermosa Beach, CA. Great grandchildren are Isobel and Jack Doyle Murphy of Columbus.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, OH Thursday from 6-8:00 P.M and Friday
from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
Services will be held at the funeral home Friday, November 9, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Dale RuLon officiating. Burial will be in the East View Cemetery in Centerburg at 2:00 P.M. on Friday.
