Graduate of Wooster High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict rising to the rank of 1st. Lt. He worked as a Machinist for Timken Roller Bearing Co.for 40 years.
He was an active member of Oak Chapel United Methodist Church , where he served on various committees , served as scout master for troop 74 at Oak Chapel Church for a number of years and had served as scout master at First Presbyterian Church for 2 years. He also served on Buckeye Council Boy Scouts of America.
Surviving are his wife of 54 yrs. Betty Stutzman Taylor, Children Kathy & Bill Greene — Dover, Sharon & Neal Baker — Lakeville, and Brian B. and Tari Taylor of Land-0-Lakes, Fla. grandchildren Michelle and Cabot Baker and Collin and Elise Greene and a brother Ted Taylor of Wooster.
