WOOSTER – Elayne Elna Cahoon of Wooster, Ohio, died March 6, 2008 at the Wooster Community Hospital. She was born November 29, 1924 in Logan, Utah to Albert and Amelia Bergsjo. The marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple.
Funeral services will be held at the Wooster Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Liahona Drive, Wooster, Ohio on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2008.
She is survived by her husband, Garth A. Cahoon of Wooster and daughters Jacquelyne Bonadio, St. Charles, MO, Janice Pannell, Bonner’s Ferry, ID, Marilyn Cox and Nancy Stickel of Atlanta, GA; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Elayne and her husband have been residents of Wooster since 1963. Her brother Boyd Bergsjo and Leona Sorenson preceded her in death.
She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and in her earlier years worked as an LPN for 10 years in Utah and California. She will be remembered for her love of gardening and her accomplishments as a mother and homemaker.
Interment will be at the Delta Cemetery in Delta, Utah.
