SMITHVILLE – Donald Earl HOWMAN, 83, of Smithville, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Smithville Western Care Center.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Smithville United Methodist Church, Sunday, March 16, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. with the Revs. Keith Peachy and John McLachlan officiating. Private family burial will be held.

Born July 25, 1924 in Plain Twp., Wayne Co., OH, he was the son of Earl L. and Faye Lindsey Howman.
He attended Burbank High School and was a self-employed trucker owning his own fleet of trucks and a lifetime farmer. Donald enjoyed horses.
Surviving are his wife, Annie M. Stahl Howman, whom he married October 24, 1943; his children Paul D. (Dorothy) Howman of Apple Valley, CA, John W. (Marla) Howman of Massillon, Claire E. (Alice) Howman of Wooster, D. Dale (Sharon) Howman of Wooster, Ruth H. (Sheldon) Metcalf of Wooster and Martha J. (Marvin) Byall of Orrville; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; sisters, Opal Peacock of West Salem, Wanda Glasgo of Smithville, Donna (Roy) Flickinger of Wooster and brothers, Lyle Pete Howman of West Salem and Weldon Howman of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Doris Durrstein and Hilda Bonnell, brothers Harold and Larry Howman and 2 infant sisters.
