WOOSTER – Paul A. VARHO, 90, of Wooster, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Wooster Community Hospital.
Friends may call Friday evening from 7-9:00 P.M. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster and on Saturday from 10:30 A.M. to 12:15 P.M.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Saturday, April 12, 2008, at 12:30 P.M. with Fr. Daniel Reed as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Those who wish may make contributions to the Nick Amster Sheltered Workshop, 266 Oldman Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 in his memory.
Born January 15, 1918 in Orient, PA, he was the son of John and Sophia Ontko Varho.
He was a supervisor in a steel warehouse. Member of St. Mary Catholic Church. They had formerly lived in Brooklyn, OH and were members of Corpus Christi Catholic Church Member of the Knights of Ciolumbus. He was an avid sports fan and loved baseball. He served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII.
Surviving are his wife, Eva Orlowski Varho, whom he married February 9, 1946, his children Judy Sczpanski of Wooster and James Varho of Anthony, New Mexico; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister Sophie T. Gasiorek of Garfield Heights, OH.
