MARSHALLVILLE – Raymond E MATTY, 93, of Marshallville, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Brenn-Field Nursing Home, Orrville.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, OH, on Friday evening from 7-9:00 P.M.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Saturday, April 12, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Cliff Garris officiating. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
Born April 29, 1914 in Burbank, OH, he was the son of Edward and Clara Hartman Matty.
He was a retired farmer and had driven a milk truck. He farmed the family farm after his fathers death. He enjoyed working on his farm, gardening, planting flowers and sharing the many recollections of past years.

Surviving are nephews and nieces Donald (Sharon) Brillhart, Herbert (Phyliss) Brillhart, Richard (Sandy) Matty and Joanna (John) Stevic all of Marshallville, Franklin Brillhart of Wooster, Robert (Linda) Matty of Hudson, Ruth Matty of Doylestown, Diane (Paul) Staab of Indiana and Joyce Ann (Gary) Studer of Smithville .
Also surviving are step nieces and nephews Myrtle (Arthur) nee Brillhart Martin and Dennis (Bonnie) Brillhart both of Marshallville, James (Rhea) Brillhart and Olin (Kathryn) Brillhart of Orrville and Melvin (Judy) Brillhart of North Lawrence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Chester and Herbert Matty, a sister Hazel Brillhart and a niece-in-law Mrs. Franklin (Sharon) Brillhart.
