SMITHVILLE – Doris Arlene DILYARD, 88, of Smithville, died Friday, May 30, 2008 in Orrville Pointe Nursing Home.
Friends may call at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 6-8:00 P.M.
Services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Harvest Hills Church of the Nazarene, 1235 Back Massillon Road, Orrville with the Rev. Paul Shallenburg officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Born July 9, 1919 in Shreve, OH, she was the daughter of Floyd and Velma Verne Landis Cornelius. She married Paul Dilyard on June 11, 1938, he died in 1991.
Doris was a 1938 graduate of Wooster High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and ball games. She attended the Harvest Hills Nazarene Church in Orrville.
Surviving are her children Ronald (Nancy) Dilyard of Wooster, Rick (Susan) Dilyard of Smithville, Rodney (Jill) Dilyard of Orrville, Judy (John) Buss of Wooster, Jackie Thompson of Smithville and Jill (Jim) Franks of Smithville.
Grandchildren Scott (Susan) Dilyard, Lora (James) Rice, Matt (Jen) Dilyard, Marianne (Brian) Vincent, Ann Dilyard, Terrisa, Todd (Mindy) and Tim Buss, Rebecca (Chuck) Long, Mary Beth (Brian) McKinney, Ben (Shaina) Thompson, Andrew, Erica and Zachary Dilyard, Steven, Staci, Gregory and Kara Franks, Paul, John, Jeff and David Dilyard.
Great-grandchildren Anthony, Nathaniel and Zachary Rice, Spencer and Kiefer Dilyard, Breanna and Nicholas Vincent, Sophie Dilyard, Emily, Brandon and Megan Buss, Tyler and Jordan Buss and Ethan and Kaitlynn Long.
A half-sister, Dorothy Ginther of Wooster and step-sisters, Treva (Dan) Kovach of Wooster and Donna Begle of Mansfield.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded by an infant daughter Janet, a son Richard, a grandson Nathaniel Dilyard, son-in-law Ken Thompson, brothers Carl, Harold and Kyle Cornelius, a sister Ruby Rennecker and an infant sister Lena Faye
