WOOSTER – William Bill George VOGT, 76, of Wooster, passed on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Avenue, Wooster, OH 44691 on Monday, July 28, 2008, at 3:00 P.M. Interment will be held in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. A procession will form at the Funeral Home at 9:15 AM.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co., 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
Bill was born October 31, 1931 in North Bend, Ohio and lived in Cincinnati most of his life. Bill married Karla Meyer August 23, 1958. She survives.
He was an Electrician for IBEW 212 for many years. He enjoyed antiquing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Together they raised five children. Stephen (Sue) Vogt of Greenwood, Arkansas Betz (Jesus) Dooley-Martinez of Sunnyvale, CA, Gregory (Jen) Vogt of Pittsburg, PA, Karla (John) Abele of Lakeville, Ohio and Edward (Shelly) Vogt of Kansas City, MO; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson and a brother Edward (Barb) Vogt of Cincinnati.
