WOOSTER – Mary Alice (Hooks) KOCHS, 72, of Wooster, died Monday, August 11, 2008 in Akron General Medical Center.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, OH, on Thursday, August 14, 2008 from 6-8:00 P.M. In Circleville, friends may call Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Wellman Funeral Home, 1455 N. Court St.
Graveside Services will be held at the Springlawn Cemetery, Williamsport, OH Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at 1:30 P.M.
Born March 2, 1936 in Ross County, OH, she was the daughter of Harry W. and Mary F. Fraley Hooks.
She was the Executive Director of Texas Federation of Republician Women from 1994-2000. Very Active in the Republician Party Campaign System. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Salvation Army, Wayne Co. Republician Party and the Ohio Federation of Republician Women and the National Federation of Republician Women.
She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts and spending time with family and friends especially the Dulin family..
Surviving are her husband, H.W. BillKochs, Jr., whom she married August 19, 1967; sons, Douglas Dale (Jeannie) Reese and S. Kurt Kochs both of Austin, TX; a sister-in-law, Barbara Hooks of Columbus, OH and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Ronald Hooks.
