Gladys K. MURPHY, 91, of Wooster, OH, died Thursday, September 25, 2008 in Smithville Western Care Center.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster one hour prior to the 11:00 A.M. service on Monday, September 29, 2008 with the Rev. O.J. Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
She was born December 22, 1916 in Wooster, OH, daughter of Weldie and Florence Ellen Matz Franks.
Gladys worked as the manager of the Hamburger Inn, the Hillcrest Drive-In and was known as the paint lady at Sears where she was employed for 20 years. She attended the First Church of God and the Wooster United Methodist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Martha Jane Kain and Carolyn Wellman both of Wooster, 4 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Chester Franks and 3 grandchildren.
