WOOSTER – Harriet Fern CARNAHAN, 85, of Wooster, OH, died Sunday, November 2, 2008 in Wooster Community Hospital.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 P.M.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1: P.M.with the Revs. John Copus, Enid Schloneger and Jim Houston officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery, Wooster, OH.
She was born May 16, 1923 in Sharrodsville, OH, daughter of Arthur Henry and Mary Ellen Moran Evans.
Harriet had worked for 25 years at the Apple Creek State Hospital and for 10 years at Frito Lay in Wooster. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her children, William Paul Goddard of NM, John Allen Carnahan, Gary Lee Carnahan, Sheryl Lynn Carnahan and Linda Kay Vanover all of Wooster, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a brother, Robert Lee Evans of Urichsville, OH.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, John W. Carnahan on May 25, 2004 whom she married June 4, 1945 and a sister, Evelyn Mazzalini and brothers Willard and Albert Evans.
