WOOSTER – Martha Evelyn JENTES, 94, of Wooster went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 1, 2008 in the Wayne Co. Care Center.
She was born December 19, 1913 in Savannah, OH the daughter of Clayton and Ethel Patterson Hopkins.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Brethren Church. Martha was a member of the Wayne Twp. Housekeepers Club and had been a volunteer for over 25 years at Smithville Western Care Center. She enjoyed reading. She was a graduate of Wooster High School and attend the College of Wooster for one year.
Surviving are her children, Carl (Pat) Jentes of Rittman, Donald (Sylvia) Jentes of CA, Roberta Mason of CA, Robert (Janice) Jentes of Wooster, Luther (Connie) Jentes of Tennessee, Stanley (Karen) Jentes of Wooster, Earl (Robin) Jentes of Wooster, 14 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Esther Hopkins of Mansfield.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur R. Jentes, on June 4, 1989 whom she married December 7, 1935, brothers Ernest and Dean Hopkins.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the Grace Brethren Church on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with the Revs. Donald Jentes, Michael Jentes and Robert Fetterhoff officiating. Interment will follow in the Wayne Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Wooster.
