WOOSTER- Gary A. Weimer, 70, of Wooster died on Sunday January 11, 2008 at his home.
Born in Zanesville on October 9, 1938, he was the son of the late Allen and Leona (Morgan) Weimer.
Gary served his country in the U.S. Navy. He as employed by Triway and Wayne County Career Center Schools for over 20 years and had been in electrical and tool supply sales and a tool and die maker. Gary was one of the founding members of the Ramblin Rods Car Club, was active in the Boy Scouts troop #68 where he served as a committee chairman for 25 years. He was also a member of the Church of the Cross United Methodist, the Cypress Lodge #604 and a 32 degree mason and had worked with the Triway Capers for many years and was a former member of the Madisonburg Lions Club.
Gary is survived by his wife of over 36 years, Bonnie (Danner) Weimer, children Randall (Robin) Weimer of Wooster, Penny (Steve) Zupp of Pataskla; grandchildren Ashley and Alexa Weimer of Wooster, Randi, Toni and Stephen Zupp of Pataskla; brother Tom (Jeanette) Weimer of Summerfield, FL and step Brother Dale Wiley of Wimauma, FL.
Along with his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a sister Connie Ewing.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2008 at 11:00 am at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 East Larwill, Wooster. Interment will follow at Wooster Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 13, 2008 from 6-9 pm with Masonic Service at 5:30 at the funeral home.
