Melvin H Long, 68, of Apple Creek, OH, passed away January 20, 2009 in Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born June 24, 1940 in Akron, OH, son of Henry and Irene Higgins Long.
He was the owner of Centerline in Apple Creek for over 20 years. He enjoyed woodworking and machining.
Surviving are daughters, Lianne (Randy) Grimmitt of Norton and Connie Sky of Atlanta, GA, special friend, Joy Crocker of Apple Creek; grandchildren Sean Berquist and Jason Grimmitt. .
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at Living Water Community Church, 200 N. Kurzn Rd., Dalton, OH 44618 on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dan Hostetler officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery in Akron. Friends may call at the Church on Friday starting at 10:00 A.M.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.
