Howard E. Webb, 95, of Wooster died on Friday January 23, 2009 at Wooster Community Hospital.
Born on December 1, 1913 in Alberta Canada he was the son of the late Clyde and Ona (Taylor) Webb. Howard was in the United States Air Force during World War II serving in the 45th Air Depot Group in the European Theatre. Howard was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the owner of Webb’s Refrigeration and Appliance, active in the Red Stocking Review, very active with the Republican Party and a former Wooster Noon Lions member.
He is survived by his wife of over 67 years Leola Wakefield Webb; daughters Cindy Stutzman, Sandra Valcore both of Wooster and Liv Lambert of Bellefontaine; four grandchildren, one great grandchild and a brother Clyde Webb, Jr. of Wooster. Along with his parents, Howard was preceded in death by sisters Stella Beckler, Alma Picking and Leona Brinkerhoff and a brother Lloyd Webb.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 27, 2009 at 11:00am at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St, Wooster with the Rev. Dr. Alan Nathan officiating. Interment will follow at Wooster Cemetery where military rites will be observed. Calling hours will be held on Monday January 26, 2009 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
