WOOSTER – Ruth Ann BOWMAN, 76, of Wooster passed away February 19, 2009 at Glendora Health Care Center.
She was born April 7, 1932 in Wooster, OH, daughter of Ross Adam and Marcella Ruth Mayers Gray.
She had been the Asst. Vice President of Peoples Federal Bank (now FirstMerit Bank). Member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, the Quota Club, Past President of the American Legion Post 68 Auxiliary, former Board member of Habitat for Humanity, 8 + 40 and the Red Hats Chatteretts.
Surviving are her children Barbara A. Ridgway Nolen of Las Cruces, NM, James R (Diane) Ridgway of Billings, MT, John M (Deborah) Ridgway of Radium Springs, NM, Nancy A. Bowman (Jeff) Rutt of Wooster, Jeffrey D. (Rayma) and Michael G. Ridgway and families both of the Columbus area; grandchildren Michael S. Nolen of Las Cruces, NM, Jason P. Ridgway of Boise, ID, Brian S.M. Ridgway of Caldwell, ID, Stephen J. Ridgway of Bozeman, MT, James C. Rutt of Wooster and Emily A. Rutt of Wooster; a great-grandchild Jack D. Nolen of Las Cruces, NM; sisters, Shirley L. Yund and Jane Gordon both of Wooster, Special family friends Jim Bud Shane of North Carolina and Robert Stoller of Mt. Vernon.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert, Richard, Francis and Donald and sisters June Miller and Sue Gray.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at 3:30 P.M. with the Rev. Glenn Royer officiating.
