WOOSTER – Paul R Ferguson, 72, of Wooster passed away Friday, March 27, 2009 in his home.
He was born March 14, 1937 in Lodi, OH, the son of Paul V. and Russelle Stone Ferguson.
He was a graduate of Akron University and worked for Rubbermaid for 20 years and was in sales for 20 years. Paul was a member of the Grace Brethren Church where he taught Sunday School for many years. He was an avid golfer and outdoorsman and like to work with wood. He was a member of the Southern Rubber Group and the Wayne Co. Geneology Society. He had resided in LaGrange for 30 years before moving to Wooster.
Surviving are wife, Judith E. Hostetler Ferguson, to whom he had been married 52 years; his children, Deborah (Clark) Johnson of LaGrange, GA, Paul W. Ferguson of Wooster, Susan (Steve) Waybill of Powell, OH and Timothy E. (Carol) Ferguson of LaGrange, GA: grandchildren, Jessica (Brooks) Moorhead, Forrest Clark Johnson, IV, Christian Ferguson Sutherland Johnson, Mike Ferguson, Katherine and David Waybill, Buffy (Chris) Dekmar, Molly, Camie and Trent Ferguson; a great-granddaughter, Geneva Grace Moorhead; a sister, Doris Oakey of Springhill, FL, brother, John Ferguson of Wooster.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ruth Knight and Alice Wiles.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 1 hour prior to the 11:00 A.M. service on Monday, March 30, 2009 with the Revs. Steve Kearns and William Seymour officiating. Interment will follow in the Congress Cemetery.
