WOOSTER – Addrean G COMBS, 84, of Wooster passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in her home.
She was born March 13, 1925 in Irvine, KY the daughter of William Edgar and Maggie Roberts Metcalf.
She was a homemaker, raised a garden and loved to quilt. She was a member of the West Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children, twins, Roger (Laurie) Combs of Cape Canaveral, FL, and Shirley Combs of Wooster; grandchildren Faith, Christine and Justine Combs of Cape Canaveral, FL, sisters, Nannie Tolley of Richmond, KY, and Barsha Walton of Irvine, KY and loving nieces and nephews.
Addrean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hubert Combs, in 1968 whom she married November 6, 1950, a sister, Iona Beckelhymer and brothers, James Lloyd, Eugene, Joe, Robert, Tracy & Thurman Metcalf.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow with the Rev. Dan Wingate officiating and a special tribute by her nephew, Rev. Allen Combs. Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery.
