Walter L. Moses Sr., 86, of Wooster, died Saturday May 23, 2009 in the Cleveland Clinic.
The family will receive friends at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home Wednesday May 27, 2009 from 5-8 P.M. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
He was born December 11, 1922 in Orrville, the son of Clem and Icona Schell Moses. On April 6, 1946 he married Ella E. Coblentz who preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 2002.
Walter was a retired truck driver, working for Landmark for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII. He was a member of American Legion Post 68, Eagles and The Moose Lodge.
Surviving is a daughter: Nancy Moses of Wooster, Grandchildren: Allen (Valerie) Leathers of Wooster, Rick Leathers of Wooster, Theodore (Christy) Moses Jr. of Wooster, and Melody Moses of Wooster. Great Grandchildren: Logan, Morgan and Ethan Leathers, and Jacob Moses. 2 brothers: William (Esther) Moses of Wooster, Clem (Linda) Moses of Indiana, and a sister Nancy (Floyd) Breit of Canton.
Along with his wife Walter was preceded in death by 2 sons Walter Moses Jr. and Theodore Moses Sr.
