GAHANNA – Mary Aldine Long, 80, of Gahanna and formerly of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.
She was born on June 14, 1928 in Stow, Ohio, the daughter of Milton August and Mary (Heinzman) Littell and married Milton J. Long in August 1946. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2009.
Aldine was a homemaker who enjoyed NASCAR racing, Ohio State Football, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are children, Greg (Kathy) Long of Wooster, Roger (Nancy) Long of Grove City, Sharon (Ron) Smolinka of Lancaster, grandchildren Hope Long, Robin (Vince) Moore, Matthew Long, Nathan (Melissa) Long, and Maxwell Long; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Lynsey, Kayla, Nicole and Clayton.
In addition to her husband and her parents, son Larry T. Long, sister Francis Teppig and brother Harold Littell preceded her in death.
Private family services will be held at Wooster Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Phipps and Major Mary West officiating.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.
