WOOSTER – Joseph A. NEMETH, 87, of West Salem passed away Friday, June 5, 2009 in Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born January 20, 1922 in Miskole, Hungry the son of Joseph A. Sr.and Maria Varga Nemeth.
He had worked for NASA as an experimental metal model maker for 30 years. Served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII receiving a Purple Heart and a European Africian Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 2 Bronze Stars.
Surviving are daughter, Sharon (Edward) McCarty of West Salem; grandchildren Madeline Rowland, Melissa Wade, Melinda (Cameron) Cline, Amanda (Shane) Hites and Edward McCarty; 10 great-grandchildren.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen Habbyshaw Nemeth, a brother Zolton and a sister Mary Seither.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 6-9:00 P.M.
Services will be held at Funeral Home, Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
