WOOSTER – Clarence Bud BARNES, 82, of Wooster passed away Thursday July 9, 2009 in West View Manor Nursing Home.
He was born January 3, 1927 in Columbus the son of Earl and Florence Marsh Barnes.
He retired a a civil engineer for Walter Jones Construction after 50 years of service. He was a member of the Builders Exchange and the Ohio Contractors. He served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII. Bud enjoyed his work, his family and friends and traveling..
Surviving are wife, Ruth I. (Derr) Barnes, whom he married November 15,, 1950; his children Peggy (John) Schneider of Wooster, Connie Barnes of Canal Fulton and Raymond (Sherry) Barnes of Wadsworth; grandchildren Jennifer (Ali Salih) Schneider of Columbus, Adam Schneider of Cleveland, Allen Schneider of Wooster and Hannah Barnes of Wadsworth; brothers, George Barnes of Clearwater, FL and Allen Barnes of Fairview, TX, sisters, Margaret White of Wooster, Dorothy Hoffman of Delaware and Carol Barnes of Maryland.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Schuth.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, July 12, 2009 from 5-7:00 p.m.
Services will be held at Funeral Home, July 13, 2009 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Dr. Alan E. Nathan officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
