Nicholas DeCarlo, Jr. of Wooster, Ohio passed away on his 81st birthday, Saturday, July 25, 2009.
Born in Cleveland, he was an Ohio resident most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and retired from the Wooster Post Office.
He is survived by son, Michael DeCarlo; daughter, Mickey L. DeCarlo; daughter and son-in-law, MaryAnn DeCarlo and Jeff Jones; and grandchildren, Evan and Nickolas Jones.
He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting and gardening. Nick touched many people with his love of the outdoors including teaching many children how to fish. He also loved playing various card games with friends and family.
His children have honored his request for no services.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Legion, 1901 Sylvan Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691 Or the Wayne County Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Road, Wooster.
