WOOSTER – Clarence E. MCINTIRE, 74, of Wooster passed away Monday, July 27, 2009 at his home.
He was born July 13, 1935 in Tuscarawas Co the son of John and Laura Herbert McIntire.
He had been a truck driver for a feed company. Member of the Apple Creek United Methodist Church and a life member of American Legion Post 68. Served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Surviving are wife, Nancy Ely McIntire, to whom he had been married 39 years; his children Debra Henthorne (Allen) of Wooster, Lavena Domalewski of Orrville, Raymond (Kathy) McIntire of Stone Creek, and Jeffrey (Brenda) McIntire of Newcomerstown; step-sons, Jeffrey (Becky) Mizer of Atwood, KS and Greg (Beth) Mizer of Ft. Collins, CO; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Bob (Joyclin) Ely of Bolivar.
Clarence was preceded in by his parents, brothers Carl, Darrell, Edward, and Bob and a sister, Alma Newberry.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 P.M.
Services will be held at Apple Creek United Methodist Church, Friday, July 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Jim Cooper officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County Inc., 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH. 44691.
