WOOSTER – Evelyn Alice STENT, 96, of Wooster passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009 in Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born April 6, 1913 in West Union, OH, the daughter of Wiley H and Lestia Ann Piatt.
She had been a membership representative for the AAA Automobile Club for many years and was a member of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine
Surviving are daughters, Jonalyn G. Smith and Patricia Ann Thomas both of Wooster. grandchildren Scott (Carol) Smith, Bruce Smith, Deborah Smith-Byrne, Jerry (Joy) Thomas, Danny (Barb) Thomas, Lisa Stiner and Todd (Gloria) Steiner, 7 great-grandchildren one of which is Alexandria Smith-Byrne and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Richard E. Stent and Wayne M. Gault, a daughter Edna Ruth Steiner, a brother, Harlan B. Piatt, a sister, Bernice Hazelbaker and 1 grandchild.
There will be no calling hours.
Graveside Services will be held at the Wooster Cemetery on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Larry Black officiating.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.

I think of my grandparents often, as a young boy we moved next door to them. I was a lucky person to have them close to us.
Every birthday my grandmother would make me a homemade banana cream pie, which was my favorite.
RIP grandma, I love you.
