Michael D. Gruber 63 of Wooster died Friday September 25, 2009 in the Wooster Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Thursday October 1, 2009 at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home with Rev. John Copus officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends Wednesday September 30, 2009 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
He was born March 28, 1946 in Wooster, the son of Delbert and Virginia Weuthrick Gruber. On June 3, 1978 he married Dana Messman who preceded him in death in 1995.
Michael worked for Wayne County Rubber for 30 years retiring in 2008. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Navy, and was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church. He enjoyed classical music, especially Beethoven and was very artistic.
He is survived by his mother of Wooster. Siblings: Pat Weuthrick of Wooster, Susan Henry Baker of Wooster, Victor Henry of Orrville, Joel Henry of Wooster and Debbie Delong of Virginia. A niece, Ann Mayforth of Wooster, and 2 nephews: Jason Lucas, of Massachusetts, and Shawn Baker of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his father, and by siblings Franz Gruber and Lana Gruber.
