WEST SALEM – Randal Nelson RAINES, 53, of West Salem passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 at his home.
He was born July 1, 1956 in Wooster, the son of Duane and Virginia Glass Raines.
He had worked for Frito Lay for over 20 years and most recently he was a truck driver for Swift. He was an avid hunter and won a number of awards for his turkey calling and loved spending as much time as he could with his children and grandchildren..
Surviving are a son, Mat Raines of Shreve a daughter, Kelly Rock of West Salem, a sister Pam (Ray) Ginther of Wooster and a brother, Robert Raines of West Liberty, grandchildren Paige Raines, Keaton Harris, and Hunter, Ashton and Troy Rock. Close friends Bud Saunders, Ken and Tammy Shafer, Joyce Rea and Janet Hill. Also of great support was Jeff Harris and Kim Coblentz..
Randal was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Michael and a sister Shawn Daugherty.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, November 5, 2009 with Chaplain Enid Schloneger officiating. Burial will follow in the Newkirk Cemetery.
