Frank E. Wecht, 98, of Johnstown,OH., died Friday December 25 at Northview Senior Living Center in Johnstown.
He was born July 25, 1911 in Dalton, son of the late Walter and Ida (Zaugg) Wecht.
Frank served his country during World War II and was a life member of Ebenezer Lodge #33 F & Am. He was retired as a Claims Examiner for the Bureau of Unemployment in 1981.
He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and had lived in Florida for 20 years.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Karen M. Wilson of Johnstown, grandsons, Daniel E. Wilson and Charles (Teri) Wilson, great grandson, Bradley Daniel Wilson, and great-granddaughters, Amiee Offers and Kaydee Wilson.
Along with his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Stella S. (Sanor) Wecht in 1984 and wife Dorothy (Winter) Wecht in 2009.
Services will be held at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St, Wooster Tuesday December 29, 2009 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Kevan Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of service on Tuesday.
Contributions may be made to any local Hospice Organization.
