WOOSTER – Dominic J. CICCONETTI, 87, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born August 25, 1922 in Wooster, the son of Vincent and Laura DiScipio Cicconetti. He married Mary Alice Winkhart on September 10, 1949. She survives.
He was an iron worker with Union Local 550 in Canton retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was an original member of the Lamplighters and a member of the D.A.V. He was an Army veteran.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, David (Kathy) Cicconetti of Lakeville, Edward (Glenda) Cicconetti of Wooster, MaryAnn (Richard) Campbell of Massillon; a daughter-in-law Lucy Cicconetti of Wooster; grandchildren, Christina (Josh) Benton of Harrisburg, PA., Anthony and Paul Cicconetti both of Wooster, Vincent (Paula) Cicconetti of Fredericksburg, Julie (David) Kostohryz of Wooster, Teresa (Bill) Moorman of Celina, Jill (Brian) Clutter of Wooster, Lauren (Dan) Nolt of Wooster, Susan Campbell of Boardman and Joseph Campbell of Massillon; great-grandchildren Isaac and Amelia Moorman. Brother, Donald Cicconetti of Wooster; sisters-in-law, Catherine Cicconetti of Phoenix, AZ and Frances Cicconetti of Wooster and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dominic was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Thomas Cicconetti in 2008, brothers Hugo, Paul and Harry Cicconetti and sisters Josephine Humrichouser, Nicolene Dalessandro, Lucille Scale and Jennie Woyat.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, January 10, 2010 from 3-6:00 P.M.
A Service of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the funeral Home on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Stephen Moran as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery, Wooster.
