WOOSTER – Thomas W. HACKEL, 87, of Wooster, died Sunday January 10, 2010 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born November 8, 1922 in Covina, GA, son of the late Zachery and Molly (Odom) Hackel.
He had been a welder in a shipyard and retired as a welder for Western Dregging Contractors.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Virginia (Thrush) Hackel of Wooster; children David (Phyllis) Hackel, Mitch Hackel both of Wooster and Patricia Boetcher of NJ; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was the last of his family.
Family services will be held at a later date.
