WOOSTER – Roy J. CHUPP, 77, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born January 4, 1933 in Trail, OH, son of Jacob and Ada Hochstettler Chupp.
He was a maintenance superintendent having worked for the College of Wooster and retired from the Wayne Co. Justice Center. He was an avid golfer Served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Miller Chupp; his children Jim (Sherry) Chupp of Massillon, Robert (Ann) Chupp of Wooster and Suzie (Rick) Harvey of Mt. Eaton; step-children, Kay (Randy) Wharton of Wooster, Dan Harris of Wooster, Rhonda (Mike) McFadden of Apple Creek, Rita Rogers of Wooster, and Renee (Jon) Missler of Wooster, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, Brothers, Roman (Ada) Chupp of SC, Eli (Dorothy) Chupp of Pueblo, CO and a sister, Anna (Roy) Schlabach of Fredericksburg.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and 8 brothers.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. two hours prior to the 3:00 P.M. service on Friday, January 22, 2010 with the Rev. Tom McFadden officiating.
