Brenda G. Hunt Grande 58, moved on to a better place after her year long battle with breast cancer on June 4, 2010. She was born on April 9th, 1952 in Quantico Virginia and graduated from Seminole High School in Florida. She raised her two daughters in Wooster, Ohio and moved to the Portage Lakes in 2001. Brenda was a loving and dedicated mother to not only her own two daughters but all of their friends as well. Everyone loved spending time with her and called her mom. She enjoyed caring for others and making people smile. Not only did she fulfill this passion in dealing with family and friends, but also in her profession as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Health Haven in Portage Lakes. Most of all she enjoyed being outside and spending time with her grandchildren who she nicknamed ?the handsome guy, pretty girl and my peanut?.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Harriett Jean Hunt and her nephew Howard Hunt III. She is survived by her father Howard R. Hunt of Wooster. Brothers: Howard R. (Sandy) Hunt Jr. of Virginia and Christopher Todd (Aimee) Hunt of Colorado. Daughters: Cynthia ?Cindy Smith? (Samuel Slusser) Dye and Crystal ?Cristy? (Mick Akins) Smith, both of Portage Lakes. Grandchildren: Cadence Dye, Kailey Akins and Gage Akins. Nieces Tricia (Jimmy) McNair and Jamie (Jerry) Dunford and nephews Peter and Smauel Hunt, and many other relatives and close friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday June 9, 2010 at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home with Rev. Arnie Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M..
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Brenda?s name to Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio.
