Betty V. Batdorf, 80, of Wooster, died Saturday July 10, 2010 at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
She was born June 23, 1930 in Albany, NY, daughter of the late James Harold and Florence Maria (Wiffen) Stevens. On January 1, 1954, she married her husband Virgil Batdorf, who survives.
Betty was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ in Apple Creek and was a sales clerk at Freedlander’s retiring after 20 years. She enjoyed traveling with VIP Travel and to the Blue Ridge Mountains. She also enjoyed watching her three grandchildren play sports.
Along with her husband, Betty is survived by her children Shelly (Arthur) Bucher, Sharon (Brady) Smith and Stuart Batdorf all of Wooster and grandchildren Jaime (Russell) Glorioso, Kelsey Bucher and Trista Smith and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death a by sister, Annette Boreman and a brother, Lyle Stevens.
Services will be held on Thursday July 15 at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Jacquie McMillen officiating. Interment will follow in the Apple Creek Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
