Dorothy R. Wickens 76, of Wooster died Friday July 16, 2010 in Wooster Community Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday July 21, 2010 at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Overton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday July 20, 2010 from 6-8 P.M.
She was born march 4, 1934 in Wayne county the daughter of Henry and Marie Henry Airwyke. She had worked in the Cafeteria at the Pittsburgh Avenue Elementary School and had worked in Housekeeping at the L&K Motel. She enjoyed playing cards and the Cleveland Indians. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her children: Sandy Smetzer of Shreve, Robert (Deb) Wickens of Smithville, and Jennifer (David) Hershberger of Wooster. A brother: John Airwyke of Wooster. 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Children: Rick Airwyke, Walt Wickens Jr., Dottie Wickens, Frank Wickens, Paul Wickens and an infant daughter Brenda Wickens. Brothers : James H. ?Red? Airwyke, Harry Eugene ?Chewey? Airwyke, Raymond Airwyke, and her half brother Donald Henry.
