WOOSTER – Noble E. HITCHCOCK, 90, of Shreve passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010 in West View Manor Nursing Home.
He was born February 19, 1920 in Millersburg, the son of Delbert and Ida Mae Wolgamont Hitchcock.
He was a life member of the Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18 retiring in 1984 and was the former owner of Hitchcock Welding in Lakeville. Noble was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in McZena. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He was a life member of the NRA..
Surviving are wife, Virginia L. Mosier Hitchcock whom he married May 5, 1972; sons, Scott E. (Nora) of Millersburg, and Tim B of Shreve; step-sons, Jack A Fockler of Windsor, CO and Rex D Fockler of Apache Junction, AZ..
Noble was preceded in death by his parents, a son Jerry, a brother, Kenneth and a sister Helen.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday evening, August 18, 2010 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at Funeral Home on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. O.J. Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
