Wooster- Ronald E. Mitchell, age 76, of Wooster passed away August 20, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. He will be loved and missed by his family until they meet again.
Per his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be Wednesday August 25 at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Friends may call Tuesday August 24 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Ron was born on August 27, 1933 in Albion, Ill to Herschel and Minyoun Utley Mitchell. He married Marilyn Louise Cole on February 7, 1960.
He was raised in Albion, Ill and attended school at Edwards County high school where he graduated in 1952. Ron was inducted into the Edwards County high school Hall of Fame in 2004 for his high school basketball career. He served two years in the US Army before he began his oil field career in Michigan with National Supply Co. and was transferred to West Virginia and then to Wooster, Ohio. Ron and Marilyn made their home in Wooster where he began his career with the Buckeye Supply Co., in 1967. He retired from Buckeye Supply in 1995. Outside of work Ron enjoyed playing golf, lawn care and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are son, Jon Mitchell; daughters, Rhonda Fought, Kimberly (Warren) Williams and Kristi Mitchell all of Wooster; grandchildren, Tasha (Richard) Pruitt, Jamie (Brandon) Haumesser, Neillee (Ryan) Gamble, and Cory and Colten Mitchell; and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Marilyn in 2007, sister Wilma Miller and 2 brothers Kenneth and Donald all of Albion Ill.
