WOOSTER – Edison C. Houser 90 of Wooster died Sunday morning August 29th 2010 in the Smithville Western Care Center.
A memorial graveside service will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday September 3, 2010 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with Rev. Dr. David Wilcox officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening Sept. 2, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster, Ohio 44691.
He was born Feb. 4, 1920 in Cleveland Ohio the son of Otto J. and Alice Reynolds Houser. On April 12, 1947 he married Lois Jean Thompson who survives.
Edison worked as a Foreman for Stahl Metal Products retiring in 1982. He served his country with the Army Air Force during WWII. He was a member of the Wooster United Methodist Church of Wooster, 30 years member of the Elks Lodge, and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing and woodworking.
Along with his wife he is survived by his two sons: Thomas Houser of Wooster, and Robert (Judy) Houser of Columbus. Grandchildren: Rebecca Houser of North Royalton, Kimberly (Chris) Kelly of Morgantown WV, Brian Houser of Wooster, and Katherine Houser of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Vernon Houser.
