WOOSTER – John Joseph JOGAN, 81, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in his home.
He was born September 11, 1928 in North Royalton, the son of John J. Sr. and Margaret Gideon Jogan.
He received his teaching degree from Baldwin Wallace College and his Masters Degree from the Kent State University. He was a teacher in the Dalton School System for 28 years. Was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wooster and had served his country with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of the Goldwing Motorcycle Club, the model airplane club and the Early Boat Club. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed boating and taught marksmanship..
Surviving are wife of 54 years, Peggy Long Jogan; sisters, Margaret Kachut of Cleveland, Jeanette Shiffer of Florida, Nancy Costa of Broadview Hgts and a brother, Jerry Jogan of Hinkley.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday, September 13, 2010 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Watt officiating. Interment will follow in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at 1:00 p.m.
