Harold passed away September 25, 2010 at Smithville Western Care Center. He was born May 4, 1923 to Clyde Michael Buss and Estella Sarah Harter in Apple Creek, Ohio. He graduated from Apple Creek High School May 1941 and joined the Navy in January 1943. He was discharged March 1946. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a major in agricultural engineering. He married his Ohio State sweetheart Ann Bowyer on January 1, 1949.
He worked for Snyder Implement Company in Wooster, Ohio and Coffman tractor Sales in Barberton. Harold owned and operated Buss Farm Supply from 1968 to 1996 in Wooster. He was a member of St. Michael?s Lutheran Church in Marshallville, St. Paul?s Lutheran Church in Smithville, the Apple Creek Legion, a former member of the Marshallville Lion?s Club and the Smithville Ruritan Club. He was a member of the Wayne County School Board and the Wayne County Career Center School Board for more than thirty years.
Harold loved to travel around the country in his recreational vehicle and camp with his family. He was an avid craftsman making many wood projects which adorn his garage.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Lucile Buss.
Harold will be sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Ann Buss of Apple Creek, children Jim and Lynne Buss of Wooster, Jon and Kathy Buss of Memphis, Tennessee, Kathy and Danny Davenport of Wooster, Ohio as well as twin brothers Weldon (Gerry) Buss, Willard (Leota) Buss and many nieces and nephews. Most of all he will be missed by his grandchildren, Benjamin (Kristen) Buss, Andrew (Megan) Buss, Daniel Buss, Carli Davenport and Chase Davenport.
Visitation will be Monday, September 27th from 6-8 at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home. The service will be Tuesday, September 28th at 11:00 at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church in Smithville with Pastor Pam Kelly officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church 777 South Summit St. Smithville, Ohio or to St. Peter?s United Church of Christ 68 W. Main St. Apple Creek.
