Kenneth Eugene CHAPMAN, 87, of Wooster, Monday October 4, 2010 at Smithville Western Care Center.
He was born February 19, 1923 in Medina Co., son of the late William Harrison and Lillian Lucille Eaken Chapman.
Ken had worked for Rubbermaid for 39 years as the Director of Information Services before retiring in 1985 and also had worked at the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course at the College of Wooster for 17 years. He was a member of Central Christian Church where he was an elder and past chairman of the board. He had been the Exalted Ruler of Elks and president of the Lions, had volunteered at Boy’s Village and was a member of the Ebenezer Lodge 33 F & AM.
Surviving are his wife, Edna M. Carpenter Chapman whom he married in 1942, daughters, Diane E. (Robert) Antes of Placida, FL, Kathleen Ann (John) Sirasky of Springfield,OH and Linda Jean Snow of Dublin; grandchildren John Henry Antes of FL, Kelly (Jason) Preston of GA, Andrew Chapman Sirasky of AZ, J. Matthew (Melissa) Sirasky of Mason, Ryan (Libby) Snow of Toledo, Lindsay (Nathan) Cates and Brandon (Miriam) Snow both of Columbus; 11 great-grandchildren, sisters Jeanette (Clifford) Cotterman of Wooster and Joann McClaran of Shreve and sister in law Jean Chapman of Wooster.
Along with his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a brother, Ellis Chapman.
Services will be held at Central Christian Church, 407 N. Market St., Wooster on Thursday October 7, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Church on Thursday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

He has been a husband and father dedicated to his family, and his community. He has provided well for them and been generous in his donations to various charities and organizations. Ken was well known in the entire Wooster area.
