WOOSTER – Betty M Sigler LEWIS, 71, of Wooster, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 in her home.
She was born December 25, 1938 in Cleveland, the daughter of William and Catherine Watt Tewksbury. She married Donald R. Sigler on January 9, 1960. He preceded. She then married Donald Lewis on July 6, 1999. He survives.
She graduated from Wooster High School and was a member of the Oak Chapel United Methodist Church. Betty had worked at Quality Farm and Fleet in Wooster until she received her LPN degree. She then worked at various locations including volunteering for the Viola Startzman Free Clinic.
She was a life long Girl Scout volunteering as camp nurse at Camp Walhonding and was a former Secretary of the Loyal Order of the Moose of Wooster.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her children, Laurel (Roger) Etzwiler and Timothy Sigler both of Big Prairie, Charles Sigler of W. Salem, Daniel (Ella) Sigler of Burbank, Victoria and Bethany Sigler both of Galloway and grandchildren Catherine and Collin Checkelsky and Samantha and Alex Sigler.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Tewksbury.
A Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oak Chapel United Methoist Church with the Rev. Paul Farren officiating. Private family burial will be held.
The family will receive friends following the service.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
