SUNBURY – Jeanette E. SHANKLIN, 83, of Sunbury and formerly of Wooster, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010 in Countryview Nursing Home in Sunbury.
She was born October 13, 1927 in Wooster, the daughter of Roy E. and Emily Fuller Blaisdell. She married James C. Shanklin on December 25, 1946. He died April 24, 2009.
She had been an L,P.N. at several nursing homes and had been an administrator at the Shady Rest Nursing Home in Creston and the Castle Nursing Home in Millersburg.
Surviving are her children, Kendra (John) Martin of Prospect, Karen Taylor of Auroya Creek, California, Keith (Wendy) Shanklin of Louisville, Kevin Shanklin of Wooster, and Kristie (Bobby) Brooks of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a sister, Charlotte Menefee of San Pedro, CA.
In addition to her husband, Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Kathie, brothers, Leumen and Donald Blaisdell and Bruce Warthen and sisters, Verna Matz and Sally Bowman.
There will be no calling hours.
Graveside Services for family and friends will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Fairview Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dan DeHass officiating.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.
