Ronald H. Weaver 77, of Wooster, died Friday December 10, 2010 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born February 1, 1933 in Millersburg, son of the late Harry and Helen Shilling Weaver.
Ron opened Ron’s Color Shop in 1963 and operated the store until his retirement in 2008. He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Ron was a life member of Post 651 Fredericksburg, of the Chamber of Commerce, Mainstreet Wooster, WAPAC Theatre Group, Professional Picture Framers Association in Cleveland, was an avid supporter of WoosterFest and attended Central Christian Church. He was also one of the original organizers of the Home and Garden Show.
Ron was an excellent craftsman and enjoyed woodworking all of his life. He was an all around sports fan enjoying the Cleveland teams as well as the Buckeyes and he had a passion for fast pitch softball.
Surviving are wife, Carolyn Stair Weaver, whom he married October 21, 1956; daughter, Deb (Gale) Wilcox, son, Jeff Weaver all of Wooster; grandchildren Troy (Meg) Wilcox, Samantha Weaver and Tara (Rowdy) White; great grandson, Adam Wilcox and brother, Terry Weaver of Fredericksburg.
Along with his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a daughter Vicki, a sister, Judy Jones and brothers, Danny, Jerry and Larry Weaver.
Services will be held at Central Christian Church, Tuesday December 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kevin Phipps and Rev. Randy Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Pioneer Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the church from 12:30 PM until the time of service on Tuesday.
