WOOSTER – Enid Dean Nadine CARAFELLI, 87, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 in her home.
She was born May 7, 1923 in East Rochester, OH, the daughter of Harry Clay and Mary Mearle Shively Albright.
She had worked at Gimbel’s Dept. Store in Pittsburg and at New Era Potato Chip Factory when she moved to Wooster. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading.
Surviving are sons, Robert D Carafelli of Wooster and Charles J. (Sandra) Wilks Jr. of Cottage Grove, MN, grandchildren, Janelle (John) Stewart, Christine (Peter) Singer, Carrie (Kellie) Stedt; great-grandchildren, Garrett Stewart and Gabrielle Stewart, Andrew and Cassandra Singer and Benjamin and Jake Swanson; a step-great-grandson, John Stedt; and her first husband, Charles Wilks of Amsterdam, Ohio.
Enid was preceded in death by her parents, her second husband Robert John Carafelli on May 15, 2005 whom she married January 8, 1949, an infant daughter Donna Jean Wilks and sisters Thelma Thomason, Madalene Dale Geisleman and Mildred Ellen Baney.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Moran as the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
