WOOSTER – Letha D. Wells, 81, passed away quietly early Monday morning, December 14, 2010 following a short illness at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Letha was born in Garfield, Kansas and grew up in the small town of Rozel, Kansas. She married her high school sweetheart, Harry Wells, and had three children. Letha and Harry lived in Pratt, Kansas, Indiana, PA, Bradford, PA and finally moving to Wooster in 1972 where they lived until her passing.
Letha was employed at the Jewel Box in Wooster for many years. She was a wonderful mother and leaves behind her children, Marsha and Rick Topor of Portville, NY, Marilyn and Terry Biddle of The Villages, FL and Earl and Beverly Wells of Farmington, MN; her grandchildren, Todd and Mandy Topor of Victor, NY, Brian Topor of Berea, OH, Bill Osborne of Tulsa, OK and one great-granddaughter Lauren Topor of Victor, NY. She also leaves her sister Phyllis Lowery and her nephew, Steven Lowery both of Wichita, KS, a sister-in-law Donita and Terry Hamen of Fairview, OK, Debbie Blakeslee of Tempe, AZ and Donna Steiner of Newton, KS and a countless number of extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death at a very young age by her parents, Bernie and Irene Foss and her husband of 56 years, Harry L. Wells.
A celebration of life service will be held at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service.
Letha never met a stranger and loved people. She was a wonderful friend to everyone she knew.
