WOOSTER – Evelyn L LEGGETT, 80, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in her home.
She was born December 5, 1930 in Ashland, the daughter of Sherman and Mabel Sanford Derr. She married John Leggett. He died in 1987.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Central Christian Church.
Surviving are her children James (Rita) Leggett, Jane A Leggett and Debbie (Paul) Drennen all of Wooster; 3 granddaughters and 2 grandsons; 2 step-grandsons; 3 great-granddaughters and 2 great-grandsons.
In addition to her husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by a son Michael E. Leggett on September 23, 2006, a brother Sonny and sisters Mary Perry, Shirley Mackey and Alva Gentry.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday evening from 6-9:00 p.m.
Services will be held at Central Christian Church on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating. Interment will follow in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
