WOOSTER – Elizabeth Dees House, 72, of Wooster went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Akron General Hospital with her loving daughter, Renee, by her side.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church in Wooster with Pastor Rickey Brown, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the Wooster Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Renee House-Terry, PO Box 376, Wooster, OH 44691.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is privileged with serving the family.
Elizabeth was born on July 24, 1939 in Ashland to Benjamin and Mary Saunders Dees and has been a resident of Wooster all her life.
She was a graduate of Wooster High School and was formerly employed at the Apple Creek Developmental Center and then worked at the Wooster Community Hospital as a licensed practical nurse from 1971 to 1991 at which time she retired.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Wooster and had served as secretary of the NAACP of Wooster/Orrville. She was proud of being a nurse and serving others.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving grandparents Curly and Anna Booker.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Renee House-Terry (David) of Neptune, NJ and Deborah Tatum (Thomas) of New Brunswick, NJ, a son, Michael House of Wooster, a sister Rose Jackson, a brother Jerry Dees and a uncle Charles Booker all of Wooster; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren all of New Jersey.
The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and the staff of Akron General Medical Center for the excellent care and attention.
