George Michael Mike HERNCANE, Jr., 48, of Hiram, OH, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 in the Cancer Treatment Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He was born January 17, 1962 in Orrville, the son of George Michael Sr. and Betty Jett Herncane.
He was a certified welder by profession. Mike was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garrettsville, enjoyed hunting and all kinds of fishing, watching football and Bible Studying He was a former resident of Funk.
Surviving are his mother and step-father Betty (Bill) Frary of Big Prairie; a son, Joshua Herncane and a daughter, Michaela Herncane both of Wooster; siblings, Gary Herncane and Curtis (Angela) Frary both of Wooster, Rob (Linda) Frary of Alabama, Ray (Denise) Frary of West Salem and Andrea (Tommy) Durham of Kentucky.
Mike was preceded in death by his father.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 1 hour prior to the service on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11:00 am with the Rev. David Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Shreve.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cancer Treatment Center of America, Eastern Regional Medical Center, 1331 E. Wyoming Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19124.
