WOOSTER – William E BRODBECK, 76, of Wooster, passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 in the Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona.
He was born September 23, 1934 in Rittman, the son of Mervin D and Ruth M Altekruse Brodbeck.
He retired after 20 years with Country Mark and was a part time farmer. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, the Marshallville Tractor Pullers and the Morgan Horse Assn. He spends 6 months in Arizona.
Surviving are wife, Beulah B Sparks Mougey, a daughter, Jennifer (Todd) Carr of Wooster, step-children, Becky Lavery of Wooster, Scarlett (Tom) Wilkinson of Rittman, Melanie (Dick) Renner of Sterling and Wayde (Diana) Hatten of W. Salem, 5 step-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, John (Barbara) Moorhouse of Cincinnati.
William was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Margaret Moorhouse Brodbeck, in 2000.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 1:00 p.m. service on Monday, January 17, 2011 at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev. Dr. Alan E. Nathan officiating. Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery.
